{"id":1938,"date":"2015-09-19T07:24:59","date_gmt":"2015-09-19T14:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/longshore-labor-relations.com\/?p=1938"},"modified":"2015-09-19T09:21:51","modified_gmt":"2015-09-19T16:21:51","slug":"b-men-are-not-members-of-the-ilwu-and-local-13-officers-let-them-know-it-every-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/longshore-labor-relations.com\/?p=1938","title":{"rendered":"B-men are NOT members of the ILWU, and Local 13 Officers let them know it every day."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Check out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/longshore-labor-relations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Local-13-Bulletin-39-15.pdf\">Local 13 Bulletin #39-15<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Local 13&#8217;s Officers have decided that B-men are not entitled to come backs, EXCEPT on CL and HL jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>So the B-men will have to come to the Hall every day, and be available to cover the CL\/HL jobs, thus allowing the A-men (Union Members) on the HL Board the ability to work other than HL jobs, and cherry pick early finishes or work the 2nd Dispatch.<\/p>\n<p>If the B-men are not used to cover the HL jobs, the A-men will have to cover the work or risk getting a 9.41 complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Way to go, let the B-men know they are not members; they are just fancy casuals with benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Solidarity, ILWU style.<\/p>\n<p>Nice job Bobby, Mondo, and Mark.<\/p>\n<p>Wonder if PMA even knows about this?<\/p>\n<p>No matter, they would not do anything any way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check out&nbsp;Local 13 Bulletin #39-15.
