If you think requesting information from the government is fun, try the ILWU.

A few years ago when longshoreman wanted information like JPLRC Minutes, or Arbitration transcripts, all they needed to do was ask. They were given full access to Minutes, were given copies of any they wanted, and they were given copies of the transcripts of any hearings they participated in, free of charge.

Then a longshoreman named Eric started asking for information, and he used the information in the JPLRC Minutes to challenge Local 13 elected officials.

Apparently the Officers of Local 13 do not like to be challenged, so they changed the procedures for members accessing information, including JPLRC Minutes.

Now longshoremen requesting information are required to fill out the following application, including the reason they want the information:

Local 13 Request for Minutes form

Now members get REDACTED JPLRC minutes, only containing information pertaining to the person making the request.

If everything is secret then no one can question the Union Officials about what they are doing.

Transparency, ILWU style.

The only thing the members of the ILWU need to know is their Officers are always right, and only anti-union suppressives would dare even question them or their decisions.

Are the leaders of the ILWU scientology believers, or is it just a coincidence that they run their Union just like L. Ron Hubbard ran his cult?

“The Church of Scientology is a cult that destroys people”, so it needs to be exposed, and so does the ILWU.
