Local 23 JPLRC meets despite no contract.

Looks like the Tacoma JPLRC has decided to meet even though there is no contract, or contract grievance machinery in place right now due to the expiration of the PCLCD on July 1, 2014.

It is hard to say why they are meeting, other than so the Local 23 LRC Representatives can get paid, because they are not doing anything other than that.

They processed a Section 13.3 Discrimination Grievance last week without telling the entire JPLRC about the nature of the dispute, then claimed the matter had been resolved by the 1st 13.3 grievance filed in the case, which has not been resolved.

It is like Evergreen did not learn anything during their last go around 20 years ago. It is time for Evergreen to realize that Local 23 only cares about protecting Local 23. They don’t care about their member, or the Employer, they only care about the “Union”.

I for one can hardly wait for the contract negotiations to finish, so we can process this 13.3 complaint.
